2021: the sound of progress
Sing Out for Freedom: The Sound of Progress spotlights the ACLU and NYCLU’s landmark victories in 2021 and shares calls to action to build a more equitable New York. The organization honored Broadway for Racial Justice with the Michael Friedman Freedom Award for their grassroots work organizing for racial justice and equity by providing immediate resources, assistance, and amplification for Black, Indigenous and other people of color in the Broadway and theatrical community at large.
